Norfolk Friends of Wind Power

Green Energy

The People of Norfolk Speak Out

"When I come home from work, I like to sit on my porch and watch the turbines go round and round. The gentle swishing of the blades relaxes me.

I'm glad  we have turbines. We owe it to our kids." M., resident of Norfolk

Windmills were to the past, what wind turbines are to the present

Windmills ground grain for our daily bread; wind turbines produce the power to grind & bake our bread

Windmills are to turbines, what apes are to us.

  • Norfolk Friends of Wind Power believe in Harvesting the wind

  • ensuring energy for tomorrow

  • helping to sustain rural communities

  • supporting a greener world

Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health says that there is no " causal link between wind turbine noise and adverse human health impacts." See Report

Serene, majestic, peaceful: production of electricity

If not green Energy, then what? Nuclear? More Coal? More Oil? Horse and Buggy? What is Green Energy?

Changes are needed. Green Energy should benefit residents of Ontario, not foreign entities. After 15 or 20 years, ownership of the turbines should revert back to the landowners. Decisions can then be made what is in the best interest of the community.

Lakeview Cottage Retreat is energy friendly.

Friends of Green Energy are landowners and residents in Norfolk County who wish to promote the Responsible Siting and production of wind energy and Information about wind energy-all kinds of information.

"Can you see them now? Can you see the little Luddites? The deluded creatures of La Mancha arising, tilting at imaginary monsters in their bloated minds...... turbines, peacefully harvesting the Wind."     from Musings of Bob, the Clear Creek  sage.
